This Tutorial briefly describes the different areas of SiteW website builder. After reading the 7 easy steps, you will be able to create your first free website in minutes.

1. Your Website
The website you are editing is located in the middle of the page.
You see it the exact same way visitors see it. To edit it, "tools" are available on the top and on the left.
2.The Pages
Your site has to contain at least one page to be publishable. You can add as many pages as you want thanks to the
New page button. The first step consists of creating or selecting the page you want to edit.
The background page is a special "page" which is never displayed alone. The Blocks located on the background page are displayed on all the pages of the website. Thus, it is the ideal place to put a menu or the title of your website.
3. The Blocks

The Blocks are the elements displayed on your pages: text, photo, video, map...
To add one on a page, simply click on it.
8 blocks are available so far:
-
Carrousel: Adds a mini gallery -
Image: Displays a photo or an image -
Map: Shows an address on a google map -
Menu: Shows your site pages -
Text: Adds a text area -
Video: Displays a YouTube video
-
Flash: Adds a Flash animation -
Contact: Allows your visitors to send you emails from your website
Comment: Let visitors add comments on your site
Music: An MP3 Player for your website

To select a Block on a page, simply click on it. You can then resize it and move it wherever you want on the page.
To edit it, for example change a Text Block content, move the marker indicating where you live on a Map Block or change the picture of an Image Block, click on the pencil
.
4. The properties
The property zone displays the tools and options available for the selected Block or the current page.
In our example, a Text Block is selected. So, the zone shows the properties of the Text Block: title, font selection, text alignement...
If it a Map Block was selected, you would be able to change the address or the map type ; if we were on the background page, a button would allow you to change the website design...
5. Publish
The final step is to publish your website.
Once you have finished to edit the pages, click on the
Publish site button to save your changes.
6. Exit

On the top left of the page, many links allows you to go back to the website administration page, to go to the statistics page or to log out your SiteW account.
7. Inline Help
Do not forget that you can find explanations about the interface whenever you want thanks to the
buttons.
If you have any question or problem with this tutorial, do not hesitate to leave a comment.
